Math Scaling Project

My project for math is the scaling project. For this project we learned about scaling and then we had to make our own characters and scale them to make them bigger or smaller. Some challenges we ran into are the math was hard because you had to use the scale factor to make it bigger or smaller. I also had to come up with a good character. I overcame these challenges by just keep trying till it’s really good.

 

My first artifact is my original character because that was my main character and I just made it out of collage. We also had to use scale factors to increase or decrease the size of our character such as 50% or 150%I think I grew in creativity because I had to think outside the box to come up with my character. Creativity is thinking outside the box and doing stuff no one else would think of.

 

My second artifact is my characters that I scaled up and I scaled down. I chose these because this is what we were learning about in math and how to use the scale factors we chose in equations to know the dimensions of our characters new sizes. To make these I had to know how to scale up and down. I think I grew in inquiry because I had to ask quetions like, what can I make my character about or What scale factor I should use. Inquiry is questioning everything you do so that you understand it.
