This year in Wellness I grew  in collaboration. A project that helped me grow in this is the NCD calendar Project. For this project I had to make a month long plan that helped me improve my physical life and my chances of getting diabetes. I had to do physical activitys like 15 push-ups or jog 1 mile. I also had to have food choices like replace chips with carrots or eat more fish. I had to really collaborate for this project to get ideas for changes I could make and to get feedback from classmates.

 

My first artifact is the list of 15 changes that I could make to my physical life to help prevent diabetes. To make this list I had to research what kinds of stuff cause diabetes and what kinds of stuff prevent it. For example I could remove a food from my daily life with alot of surgar like Lucky Charms and replace it with something healthy like whole wheat Cheerios. I had to collaborate to work with my teacher and classmates to ask for ideas and help.

 

My second artifact is my final draft of my calendar. It shows how I collaborated with classmates to get ideas like replaceing Mountain Dew with water or to jog 1 mile a week.

 

I can use collaboration in the future when I get a job because I will have to work with co-workers to get stuff done,
